The Center for Initiatives on Community Empowerment and Rural Development (ICERD) is a Vietnamese Civil Society Organization (CSO) supporting poor rural communities to sustainably manage their own livelihoods. Our success is underpinned by our holistic approach to development, spanning from grassroots capacity building to national advocacy.
Founded in June 2012, under the auspices of the National Programe on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) – Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) and the Field Alliance (Thai Education Foundation), The Center for Initiatives on Community Empowerment and Rural Development has played a prominent role in capacity-building for sustainable agriculture in Vietnam.
ICERD is officially registered as member organisation of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (number 353/QĐ-LHHVN dated 01 June 2012).
